The CAN DO Approach
The Can Do approach, as advocated by the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR, 2001; 2020), reconceptualizes language learning, including Hebrew, as real, respectful, and rooted in life. This approach is action-oriented, plurilingual, and intercultural (API), fostering individual and social agency. In fact, interpersonal communication requires language competence intertwined with strategic competence, digital and social skills, and a growth mindset.
